First of all I must say that I was very skeptical at first since my wife wanted to sell LIA Sophia. Direct marketing is not an easy business yet Lia Sophia makes it very easy to do and earn an income.

I am disappointed to see so many people complaining but some people complain about everything. Where in the world can you buy a piece of jewelry break it and return it for less than five dollars. Where can you return a piece of jewelry after five years because your tastes have changed in fashion. I understand the 5.00 cost of shipping may be annoying, however look at the overall warranty. The only place you will find that warranty is on a Craftsman Tool.

Look at the larger picture. No one stands behind their products better unless you are buying a high end product like TUMI luggage and you still have costs for warranty greater than $5.00. it would cost me that to drive to the store to return the item.

When thing like this come up I say it’s probably 50:50. I mean the customers are not always right and not all sales persons are honest about everything. Some are just trying to make a sale no matter what…

I too loved the jewelry. I was very upset to know that I had to pay $5.00 for each piece that I return, even if it broke!
I wouldn’t mind the fee if I was returning it because I didn’t like it anymore. Why should I pay the fee if their jewelry broke???!!!

I am a lia sophia manager and am very disappointed to see these posts. I have been with the company for 3 years and can honestly say we stand behind our jewelry. We have a lifetime replacement plan so use it. If you are not satisfied with your jewelry send it back. Direct sales is no diffrent than any thing in sales sometimes you have a good sales rep and sometimes you dont. I guess my only advice to you return it and try somegthing else. Also we do not hide any policies all you have to do is read the receipt when you get it and everything will be there in black and white.

I too have been involved in several direct sales businesses over the years. I can’t say I ever really made much money – certainly not enough to compensate for the time and financial investment involved. I have vowed to never cave in to tempting sales pitches again. I have purchased jewelry from another direct sales company and have been very happy with the product. While I have not bought from lia Sophia, I have heard good things.
